Dr. Traci Hahn is a practicing Optometrist, she and her husband, designer and artist, Andy Hahn are the founders of Ochiwear. Dr. Hahn had vision problems as a young child. Her good experience with her eye doctor growing up has guided her to her career as an optometrist. Unfortunately, due to having to wear glasses since she was just 10 months old, she grew up no stranger to ridicule. Dr. Hahn has a passion for affordable and stylish eyewear, and wants to help make sure that every man, woman and child has the ability to look good and feel confident in their eyewear. Luckily, eyewear has come a long way over the years, and now has truly become a fashion accessory that people want to wear, even if they don’t need vision correction.

We Are Trying to Improve the Quality of the Online Eyewear Industry
A 2011 study published by the Journal of the American Optometric Association, concluded that, “Nearly half of prescription spectacles delivered directly by online vendors did not meet either the optical requirements of the patient's visual needs or the physical requirements for the patient's safety.”
Clearly this is unacceptable. Our competitors have not been doing a good enough job, so in early 2012 we decided to launch Ochiwear.com. By being an actual operating optometry practice, we see an opportunity for improving the online eyewear industry, by bringing our professional oversight and unwavering standards of care and service to online shoppers looking for prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses that are both stylish and affordable.
